This shows the two levels overlapped. From this you begin to understand how one fits over the other and how the stairs connect them both.

This shows the elevation at the front of the house, it can appear confusing due to the angled room laid flat across the page.
It was clearer to create three separate sections from various rooms than one across the whole building.
